A sixth generation Texan, Cary is proud of her historic heritage. This passion influences her designs through the use of unique materials, antiques and heirlooms or simple handcrafted pieces. The Texas Hill Country landscape serves as a palette of beginnings…..verdant hues of juniper, the breathtaking color of Spanish Oaks during Fall and the rustic beauty of wildlife, hills and bubbling streams after a long awaited Spring rain.
Her style is not limited to all things country. The art, culture and history of Mexico’s influence on South Texas are where Cary draws much of her unique inspiration. The bold and exotic colors and textures of Latin America speak volumes to her! Ethnic patterns, sculptural pieces and worn belongings that lack pretension are welcome in her projects.
In the opinion of Cary, “Trendy has never been more passé. “ As a wife, mother of two girls, 11 and 14 and an avid volunteer, Cary realizes that our chaotic world needs more love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness and self-control! (Gal. 5:22) Our dwellings are our sanctuaries… the interiors must offer those characteristics with soothing colors, sentimental photos and comfy fabrics and furniture. Casual tradition is a wonderful antidote for busyness.
Unique in this industry, Cary interprets the needs of her clients based on their personalities, not hers; their budget, not hers and most importantly their desires, not hers. When these needs are met, Cary is successful and her client’s self-expression is allowed to reign in their space.
